Responsibilities & Qualifications

As a Senior Cost Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in our San Francisco project office. Collaborate with a diverse range of team members, stakeholders, and clients to steer the financial success of a large Capital Improvement Program.What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Cost Management: Dive into comprehensive cost analysis and reporting, shaping efficient financial management.
  • Data Mastery: Showcase your expertise in developing key metrics and KPIs, driving insightful reports and analyses.
  • Collaborative Optimization: Work across teams to identify areas for cost optimization and improvement, contributing to smarter decisions.
  • Mentoring Excellence: Guide and mentor fellow team members in financial reporting, variance analysis, and third-party contractor data analysis.
  • Innovative Advisory: Provide senior-level technical expertise to clients, supporting project managers in effective scope, budget, and risk management.

What You’ll Need:

  • A minimum of 5+ years in cost engineering within PM/CM settings, with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Excel proficiency, knowledge of project control software, and a keen eye for financial insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and management levels.
  • Progressive project controls involvement in commercial, aviation, civil, and/or vertical structures projects.
  • Client focus, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $97,800 - $175,900 annually for this position and local market.
