Job Description

  DescriptionYour role at GEI.The DC and MD offices of GEI are seeking a Construction Project Administrator to assist with project field administrative tasks and to support our project teams with the delivery of high-quality work products to our clients. The Construction Project Administrator will work closely with our Project Managers, Client Managers, Senior Leaders, and Technical Staff, to ensure project deliverables meet corporate standards and quality.Essential Responsibilities & DutiesProvide project assistance and field documentation support for investigations, remediations, and construction projects and assist with management of field documentation quality control; preparing and reviewing reports and other documents including Health and Safety Plans; and processing vendor qualification requests and maintaining Certificates of Insurance.Assist with project administration functions such as, reviewing and tracking reports and documents from subcontractors (geotechnical services, surveyors, fabricators, etc.), arranging project required courier services, scheduling meetings, order/purchase supplies for team and project sites by reviewing specifications, and coordinating with subcontractors/vendors for proposals/bids and ongoing projects and track/record correspondence.Create and review daily report documents, photo logs, soil boring logs, and requests for information/clarification in collaboration with Task and Project ManagersCollaborate with Project Managers and field staff to track progress/milestones and to provide operational support and create/maintain project schedules and assist project managers/field managers to update (Microsoft Project) schedules and resources.Prepare project submittals and permit applications that adhere to project specifications, state/county requirements and construction documents.Achieve organizational efficiency for project management tracking to support program and area managers.Minimum QualificationsStrong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and grammatical editing skills, as well as outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Advanced knowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe/Bluebeam Revu skills, including automating documents, formatting, and proofreading.Experience with project scheduling software is a plus.Associate or bachelors degree (accounting, business administration, sciences, or similar preferred) with 5+ years of project administration experience.Valid drivers license.Notary license or ability to obtain is preferred.We are GEI.Some of the worlds most pressing problems from climate change to sustainable development, to critical infrastructure and the future of our energy supply need our brightest and diverse minds working together to create safer, more resilient communities for tomorrow.We are technical experts, collaborators, and entrepreneurs who draw from diverse backgrounds to solve our clients most complex challenges.With approximately 60 offices across North America, we offer a range of engineering, science, and technical consulting services.
