Verdantas is hiring a talented Civil or Environmental Engineer for a Fall Co-op experience. This position will be located in our Toledo, Ohio Office.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with fieldwork (e.g., sampling of various media, site inspections, and in a support role for field engineers/geologists/scientists)
- Researching, collecting, and entering data, and applying technical principles to assist in interpreting and analyzing data
- Assisting in preparing engineering-related calculations, designs, plans, and conceptual models
- Performing preliminary human health and ecological risk calculations and modeling
- Assisting with environmental assessments
- Preparing technical reports
- The position may include travel
Qualifications:
- Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Relevant courses related to principles of civil or environmental engineering, geology, or similar
- Proficient in MS Office products
- Experience in ArcGIS and AutoCAD
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Able to conduct some fieldwork with occasional heavy lifting
- Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Affiliation and/or certifications with professional associations and networking capabilities are a plus
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus
- Internship or coop experience a plus
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
