Learn more by visiting www.geosyntec.comESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIs this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include:

  • Hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis and modeling;
  • Watershed and stormwater management design and analysis;
  • Surface water quality and environmental data analysis;
  • Green infrastructure/Low Impact Development Best Management Practice design;
  • Erosion and sediment control design;
  • Clean Water Act/National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) compliance;
  • Civil/infrastructure design and site layout;
  • Site visits/field operations oversight; and
  • Preparation of technical reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, etc.

  • Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants.
  • Fieldwork: Up to 30%
  • Overnight travel: Up to 30%

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, water resources, environmental, or biosystems engineering (required)
  • Advanced degree related to water resources engineering. (preferred)
  • Ability to become a licensed Professional Engineer.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior research or professional experience in surface water modeling and/or design. (preferred)
  • Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT). (preferred)
  • 0 to 3 years of professional experience. (preferred)
  • Experience with modeling/design tools such as HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, HY-8, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ArcGIS. (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. (required)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
