The Training Administrator will be responsible for working directly with the Senior Customer Training Project Manager and Employee Sales Training Project Manager to help execute all Training customer-specific projects, building positive relationships with customers and completing objectives as directed by the Training team. The Training Administrator will report to the Director of Training.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)Assist the Senior Project Manager and Training Project Manager – Employee Sales with projects and tasks related to the training department. (30%)Become proficient in Simpson’s Learning Management Systems to consolidate duplicate accounts, maintain user training accounts, and create training classes and courses. (30%)Assist with state application renewal submittals. Maintain and update Agency and State fliers (20%)Assist with Survey development and analysis. (10%)Assist branch Training Administrators with LMS functions (10%)DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEIf you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3 years’ work experience in administrative and project coordination preferred.
  • Must be a dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm, and with the ability to deliver high level of customer interaction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Experience in a Learning Management System an advantage.
  • Customer Focus: Quickly and effectively solve customer problems and maintain productive customer relationships. Readily readjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing customer needs.
  • Self-Management: Set priorities, goals and timelines to achieve maximum productivity. Manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Display initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.
  • Reading and Writing: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Write correspondence.
  • Reasoning: Solve practical problems. Interpret instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Teamwork: Maintain a collaborative approach in dealing with other Simpson Strong-Tie employees. Demonstrate a genuine commitment to mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Accountability and Dependability: Arrive to work on time and follow instructions, policies, and procedures. Fulfill commitments made to customers, peers, co-workers, and manager. Hold self and others accountable for measurable, high-quality, and timely results.
  • Attention to Detail: Monitor and review work for accuracy and completeness. Complete work according to procedures and standards. Maintain an organized workspace and filing system. Understand verbal instructions.
