Job Description

Position DescriptionFirst Shift
Pay: $35-$42 per hour

The Production Technician Master's primary responsibility is leading the troubleshooting of hoist/crane equipment and ensuring Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures are completed. The technician will also support the accurate documentation of equipment PM procedures and periodic crane inspections. Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain Hoists, Cranes, and Rigging
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hoists/cranes and machine tool equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Use equipment manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine/crane issues
  • Identify and replace parts as necessary; Coordinate with external suppliers and maintenance companies to ensure timely and accurate completion of work
  • Perform welding and fabrication for crane structures and facility projects
  • Complete testing and adjusting of cranes and crane components as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance by planning, scheduling, and executing preventative procedures in conjunction with the production schedule
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency with equipment down conditions
  • General facilities maintenance

  • Ability to multitask job duties effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to work unsupervised is required due to off-shift schedule
  • Ability to maintain ANSI, ASME, and OSHA documentation
  • Ability to work weekends as required
  • Reading, writing and general math skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a group (Team) environment and individually
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail

 Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Skilled Trade Certification, minimum 2000 hours CICB.
  • At least 5 years of experience is required
  • Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions and troubleshooting guides.
  • Experience with frequency drives and PLCs.
  • Demonstrated high degree of industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical aptitude and repair abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of hoist and crane system design and operation.
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with electrical test equipment, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
