With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.Our Denver Office is seeking Transportation Planning and Policy Interns for Summer 2024.This opportunity involves working in close coordination with project managers, assisting in basic research, writing, and technical assignments, and collaborating with peers and technical professionals to advance transportation planning tasks. Typical work tasks may include researching socioeconomic or environmental conditions data and trends, summarizing existing research and academic literature, reviewing Federal, state, regional, and local planning and policy documents, drafting memorandums and presentations, developing geospatial maps and information, and contributing to technical deliverables.This opportunity will be in-person in our Denver, CO office. Relocation and housing are NOT provided for this position.What You’ll Do:

  • Assists project team members with various support tasks.
  • Conducts basic research and data collection.
  • Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects.
  • Assist in the development of graphics, presentation materials and reports.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Supports research assignments and technical writing.
  • Assists in compiling, analyzing, and summarizing transportation and community data.
  • Develops summary documents, presentations, or graphics.
  • Engages with project teams to support various tasks and duties, as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Understanding of general transportation, community, or environmental policy issues.
  • Ability to clearly synthesize information and research.
  • Creativity in approaching assignments.
  • Collaborates with peers and accepts direction from supervisors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

What We Prefer:

  • Completion of 2 years or more of an urban and regional planning program, political science, geography, or public policy program.
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS family of client, server and online geographic information system software.

Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
