 Primary ResponsibilitiesHDR is currently in need of a Transportation Engineer/ Project Manager to work as an integral member of our team in Alaska. In this role, we will count on you to both lead and manage the development of design documents for transportation infrastructure projects.  This will include coordination with multiple disciplines, sub-consultants and the client.  You will be responsible for keeping the project on schedule, within budget and completed to HDR’s high quality and safety standards.  You will also be responsible for performing design work and serving as the Engineer of Record on tasks, reports, or infrastructure projects. As part of the Transportation team you may be tasked with managing/mentoring junior engineers and technical staff.*LI-MB1 

Qualifications

 Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Engineering.
  • Alaska PE license.
  • Minimum 6 years design experience.
  • Strong communication skills and willing to work in a team environment. Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word/Excel/Outlook). 
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Alaska Department of Transportation (DOT&PF) or the Municipality of Anchorage policies and procedures, and/or transportation project experience is desired.
  • Experience with AutoCAD C3D, Infraworks and ProjectWise.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • A desire to help win work, write proposals and market HDR’s services.
