We analyzed the Civil, Environmental and Construction Industry data from CEECareers.com, and we are now able to show you the places with the highest demand for Structural Engineering jobs in 2022.
There is great demand for structural engineers in the U.S., as shown in the map below. In total, 520 structural jobs were posted in CeeCareers.com for the US out of a total of 3,763 posted throughout the year. With expected fluctuations in the demand, structural engineers are sought after across the country and particularly in the South as well as on the West and East Coasts.
For this year, the best place for a structural engineer to look for a job is at the South. Texas appears to be in a phase of significant construction activity, since with 10.61% of total jobs posted, seems to have the most structural career opportunities!
Not by a wide margin, New York follows with 9.55% with California taking the third place with 8.49%. The battle between East and West seems fairly balanced, according to the data.
In the Southeast Coast, one has a good chance to find a structural job in Florida who had 6.90% of the structural job postings. Likewise, in the Northeast Coast, besides New York, we have Massachusetts (7.16%), Pennsylvania (4.51%) and New Jersey (4.24%) that concentrate a large portion of the job posts.
Washington is the sole representative of Northwest, having the 4.77% of total job posts, while the inland states of Illinois and Colorado complete the list with 3.71% and 3.45%, respectively.
