Once more, the best place for a Civil, Environmental and Construction engineer to look for a job lies in the West Coast. California, with 10.96% of total jobs posted has the most job opportunities overall! California's percentage actually went up, as the previous year it had taken the lead again but with 9.74% of total job postings. Texas has moved up to second place (from third place last year) with 8.43% while New York follows with 7.48% of all jobs posted.
After New York, two more East Coast states follow: Florida with 5.45% and Pennsylvania with 5.14%. Moving west, we find the states of Illinois and Washington in sixth and seventh place with percentages of 4.55% and 4.41%, respectively. The top ten is rounded out by three more East Coast states, with Virginia, Massachusetts, and North Carolina garnering percentages of 3.73%, 3.56% and 3.27%, respectively.
