Senior-Level Civil Engineer (Transportation)
Location: Buffalo, New York
Our Buffalo office has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and delivery of innovative, multi‑discipline civil‑infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a technical leader who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring others, and is committed to delivering high‑quality work for our clients.What You'll Do
- Lead design work on complex, multi‑discipline engineering projects and studies.
- Prepare and deliver complete contract documents—including plans, specifications, and bid estimates—on time and within budget.
- Conduct on‑site inspections and field evaluations.
- Participate in and lead project meetings; maintain strong client relationships.
- Supervise, mentor, and support mid‑level and junior engineers and technicians.
- Ensure all project work adheres to applicable codes, standards, quality control, and quality assurance protocols.
Who You Are
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in New York or New Jersey.
- Minimum 10 years of experience designing civil‑infrastructure projects, including: Highways and bridges, Stormwater and sanitary sewer collection systems, Water distribution systems
- Strong working knowledge of key industry standards and design codes (AASHTO, AISC, PCA, NYSDOT).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
