Mid-Level Civil Engineer (Transportation)

Location: Buffalo, New York 

Our Buffalo Headquarters is on the look-out for civil engineers to join our Transportation team. If you're mid-level in your civil engineering career, experienced on municipal and public works projects, thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment, we want to hear from you! What You'll Do

  • Serve as a Project Engineer on complex, multi-discipline public works projects.
  • Develop detailed designs for highways, bridges, stormwater and sanitary sewer systems, and water distribution systems.
  • Prepare and deliver contract plans, specifications, and bid estimates on-time and within budget.
  • Ensure project compliance with design codes, standards (AASHTO, AISC, PCA, NYSDOT), and quality assurance protocols.
  • Conduct and participate in client and stakeholder meetings.
  • Perform site inspections to ensure project quality and accuracy.

Who You Are

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Minimum of 0-6 years of experience in civil-infrastructure design.
  • Professional Engineer registration in New York or New Jersey is a plus.
  • Well-versed in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiar with industry design standards (AASHTO, AISC, PCA, NYSDOT).
  • Effective Communicator: You possess strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: You have excellent organizational skills and a proven track record of delivering high-quality work on schedule.
