DescriptionThe Environmental Services (ENS) team at BMI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer or Geologist to join our growing Remediation practice. In this role, you will be a critical part of a team dedicated to solving complex environmental challenges. You will contribute to projects aimed at cleaning up and restoring the environment by ensuring the quality of field data, assessing subsurface conditions, and developing effective remediation strategies for our clients across the US.Key Responsibilities:Data Integrity and Quality Assurance·Ensure the accuracy of environmental data by validating analytical results for soil, air, water, and sediment samples.·Review laboratory submissions to confirm proper sample login, analysis, and adherence to project-specific quality requirements.Data Management and Analysis·Maintain and update site-specific analytical databases to ensure data is current and accessible.·Compile, organize, and interpret analytical results to identify trends and support project decisions.Environmental Assessment and Strategy·Assess soil and groundwater data to support the development of Remedial Action Plans.·Contribute to the design of effective soil and groundwater sampling strategies that meet project objectives.Technical Reporting and Communication·Prepare clear and concise technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.·Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to project teams in accordance with regulatory and project standards.Geotechnical & Environmental Application·Apply a strong foundational understanding of soil mechanics, hydrogeology, and contaminant transport to daily tasks.·Analyze bore logs and other subsurface data to inform geotechnical and environmental project designs.Qualifications·Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Geology with 0-4 years of experience..·Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, management, and interpretation.·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.·Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Word for data management and reporting.·A high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Preferred Qualifications·Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Geology.·Experience in the US environmental consulting industry or a multinational corporation.·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to environmental challenges.This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
