Job Description
We are seeking an entry level geotechnical engineer. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer interested in building a strong foundation in geotechnical engineering. We seek individuals who are eager to grow with the company, contribute to multidisciplinary project teams, and support continuous improvement efforts. - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
- Up to five years of relevant experience
- Work closely and maintain constant communication with other engineering and design disciplines within Freeman Companies, as well as outside consultants
- Support field activities including monitoring and logging subsurface explorations
- Perform geotechnical analyses and calculations under the direction of senior staff
- Assist with the preparation of boring logs, technical memoranda, and geotechnical reports
- Support construction and geotechnical monitoring projects as needed
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Civil engineers with a strong interest in geotechnical engineering are encouraged to apply
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience is a plus
- Excellent technical, organizational, and communication skills with strong attention to detail
