DescriptionYour role at GEI. GEI is expanding and we are seeking Civil Engineers to join our growing Lansing, MI office. This individual will assist with ongoing engineering design efforts related to county drain work, storm water management, site development, and municipal engineering. Placement and responsibilities will vary with level of experience of applicant. Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare design drawings in Civil 3D with oversight from senior staff.
- Provide construction oversight in the field as required.
- Develop construction drawings, technical specifications, bid documents and project schedules.
- Assist in development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Assist proposals to provide professional services and strive to develop new business in areas of specialty. Support other GEI offices with proposals and the delivery of professional services.
- Travel to project sites and other offices as required, including overnight travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Working toward B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering preferred.
- 0-3 years of professional experience.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work well alone and in a team atmosphere.
- Must be willing to travel on temporary assignments as necessary, including field assignments.
