Position: Mechanical Engineering Intern/Co-Op (FALL 2025) Location • PDI maintains its corporate headquarters in Cleveland (Solon), OH. Position Summary The Mechanical Engineering Intern is responsible for updating production documentation, creating new assembly documentation, and working with the engineering staff on specific design projects. Responsibilities • Drawing new and modifying existing components, cable assemblies, and sub-assemblies in SolidWorks. • Using guidelines from the engineering staff to design and/or improve assemblies and accessories for PDI’s product line. • Working with measuring devices (calipers, rulers, etc.) to properly document the assembly process. • Working with the Electrical Engineers, Production Managers, and Assembly Technicians to create a set of instructions for each drawing. Experience • Must possess knowledge of the SolidWorks software, have good mechanical, and basic computer skills. • Currently enrolled and obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Physical Requirements • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment. • Requires extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting. • Normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range. • Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
