Water Resources Design Engineer–Denver/Glenwood SpringsJob Description:WWE is hiring a Water Resources Design Engineer. As a Water Resources Design Engineer at WWE, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on innovative and dynamic projects related to stream restoration, stormwater design, floodplain modeling, mud/debris flow analysis, fish passage/barrier design, ditch and diversion structure design, watershed analysis, water quality evaluation, pond design, and more.The successful candidate will use problem-solving, critical thinking, and a strong work ethic to thrive both independently and within project teams. Strong communication skills and professional integrity will contribute to our cohesive company culture and build trusting client relationships.The qualified engineer will have experience in design and construction as well as hydrology and hydraulics. The candidate will have at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering and 3-5 years of experience, including the use of CAD/Civil3D, GIS, hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, preferably 1D and 2D), hydrologic modeling (HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM). Experience with regulatory floodplain matters, including preparing CLOMRs and LOMRs for submittal to FEMA is a plus. Note: this is not an entry-level position.Compensation/Benefits:
- Full-time position.
- Compensation range (salary + bonuses) is $85,000–110,000 annual salary, based on experience, education, and skills.
