Job Description

  DescriptionBarton & Loguidice, D.P.C., a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm of professional engineers, architects, environmental scientists, planners, and landscape architects, is currently seeking an organized, hard-working, and motivated Environmental Scientist for a full-time position in our Hartford, CT location. 
Responsibilities will include a mixture of office and field activities, and may involve the following: environmental monitoring and sampling including stormwater and landfills, Phase I & II environmental site assessments, remedial action plans and oversight, permitting and regulatory compliance assistance, report writing, and other environmental consulting tasks on a wide variety of projects. Being organized and able to effectively multi-task is important for this position.  Requirements

  • Candidates should have a BS in environmental science, natural resources, geology, or a related discipline. 
  • 1-3+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and within team environments.
  • Ability to work in the field, and at times, during adverse weather conditions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel throughout the northeast region on a routine basis.
  • Demonstrated experience in field sampling, stormwater, field data collection, knowledge of environmental regulations and permits, and familiarity with GIS and Microsoft software is a plus. 

Estimated Pay Range: $23-26/hour.Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
