The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of work experience, including research and development, and be proficient in working within the MS Azure environment. The candidate should possess the core capabilities to perform data cleaning, data validation, and advanced data analytics and develop and implement machine learning and neural network models.Essential Skills and Responsibilities:

  1. Python Expertise:
    • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Python programming for data analysis and model development.
  2. Domain Expertise:
    • Possess a strong background in civil engineering, hydraulics, hydrology, environmental science, or atmospheric science. 
    • Apply industry best practices and analytical approaches to identify opportunities in improving processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing costs.
  3. Educational Background:
    • Hold a master's degree or higher
  4. R&D Experience:
    • Have practical experience in research and development activities related to data science and its applications in engineering. 
  5. Work Experience:
    • Have 2-3 years of relevant work experience in data science.
    • Experience using predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, and other business outcomes.
    • Conduct end-to-end analysis, including data gathering, development of data protocols, processing, analysis, reports, data visualization, and presentations.
    • Contribute to proposal development.
    • Client interaction when required
  6. MS Azure Environment:
    • Experience in the use of MS Azure environment for data processing and analysis.
  7. Data Management:
    • Capability to perform data wrangling, including cleaning, data validation, and then perform advanced data analytics.
  8. Machine Learning/Neural Net Models:
    • Develop and implement machine learning and neural network models for predictive analytics and data-driven insights.
  9. Collaborative Problem Solver
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of Subject Matter Experts to understand client business needs and identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions.

Good to Have:

  1. GIS Capability:
    • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for spatial data analysis.
  • Experience with spatial analytical tools such as ESRI ArcGIS, Google Earth and related products
  1. Extended Work Experience:
    • Five years of work experience in the field of data science.
  2. PowerBI Development:
    • Experience in developing reports and dashboards using PowerBI for effective data visualization.
  3. Subject Matter Expertise:
  • Experience in Water utility management or asset management.
  • Project or Task management experience.
