Job Description

  Geosyntec is seeking a Social Media Specialist in Kennesaw, GA, Acton, MA, Pensacola, FL or Houston, TX to help plan, implement, and monitor paid and organic posts on social media channels and websites to increase brand awareness and support sales. The selected individual will work collaboratively with staff throughout the world in support of overall marketing efforts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the performance of the following activities:

  • Use social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand;
  • Work with technical staff, business leaders, and marketing professionals to develop social media marketing campaigns;
  • Plan and develop organic and paid social media campaigns on LinkedIn, YouTube Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other channels as needed;
  • Organize campaigns using Google Ads;
  • Write compelling social media content;
  • Collaborate with Corporate Graphics Department to develop branded visuals;
  • Posting content across social media accounts and websites;
  • Engage with clients and recruits on different channels;
  • Analyze and report on the performance of social campaigns, SEO, and web traffic
  • Present campaign ideas and results in meetings with technical staff and managers;
  • Use digital marketing tools such as HubSpot, Buffer, Hootsuite, Constant Contact, Mailchimp, WordPress and new and emerging digital marketing tools;
  • Being on top of the latest social media trends;
  • Support the strategic goals of Geosyntec as expressed in the current Strategic Plan by enhancing the company brands through application of marketing and communications concepts expressed primarily in digital media;
  • Produce the company’s digital marketing presence at events such as technical conferences, trade shows, and related business meetings;
  • Promote cost and time efficiency in the development and promulgation of internal and external communications;
  • Provide ongoing assessment of Geosyntec’s digital marketing presence in the marketplace and make recommendations for continuing to distinguish the firm competitively;
  • Provide project management when required in the supervision of outside resources including independent contractors and subcontractors for digital marketing support services;
  • Manage quality control for digital media deliverables for corporate communications initiatives and projects; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in writing, communications, digital media design or related field with at least five years of progressive professional experience or equivalent combination of industry-specific experience and training that provides the requisite knowledge skills and abilities may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree. (required)  
  • Prior experience as a copywriter (preferred)
  • Prior experience as a content manager (preferred)
  • Experience in creating social media strategies
  • Knowledge of best practices for organic and paid posts on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and able to multitask
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. (required)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, maintain constant attention to detail, and be skilled in working both collaboratively and independently to perform effectively under tight deadlines. (required)
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills. (required)
  • Ability to adapt to different communication styles and thrive in a client deadline-driven work environment. (required)
  • Conscientious and flexible, with a strong work ethic and team player attitude. (required)
