Job Description
Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
- Act as Project Manager, Lead Structural Engineer or Project Engineer on Major Projects and On-Calls for State DOT projects
- Assist with managing internal staff as well as sub-consultants along with interacting with clients and other design team disciplines
- Prepare detailed plans and construction documents for the assigned task
- Perform engineering calculations pertaining to and in support of the detailed plans and construction documents developed
- Develop contract specifications and contract bid documents, and technical report writing
- Coordinate various discipline and payment items within the construction documents
- Attend internal project meetings and contribute information as requested by management
- Provide mentoring and training to junior staff and conduct performance reviews
- Display experience with current FEM Modeling CSI Bridge, SAP, and MIDAS is preferred but not required.
Requirements:
- BS in Civil Engineering required; MS preferred
- PE License required
- Minimum of five years in a project management role supervising engineers and technicians
- Minimum of 15 years of bridge design experience (movable and/or segmental experience a plus)
- Experience in analysis of major and/or complex bridge projects (e.g., curved steel plate girders, steel box girders, segmental concrete box girders, or continuous post-tensioned girders) in accordance with Federal and State codes
- Good writing and communication skills
