Texas leads the way, accounting for 10.89% of all transportation job postings. California follows with 8.43%, while Florida remains a strong contender at 6.29%. Pennsylvania and Maryland also rank high, with 5.97% and 5.51%, respectively. Washington, Minnesota, Illinois, and North Carolina continue to see steady demand.



New York, however, has experienced a notable decline, dropping from 7.84% in 2023 to 4.09% in 2024, indicating a shift in job opportunities away from the state. The growing need for transportation engineers reflects the country’s push for improved infrastructure and sustainable mobility solutions.
