Duties:As leader of a design team:
- Supervise structural analyses, design and detailing of infrastructure projects
- Direct the preparation of contract plans, specifications and estimates
- Visit project sites that may be under construction to collect information
- Write or assist in the writing of reports, specifications, and correspondence
- Review and respond to contractor submittals such as working drawings and RFIs.
- Interact with clients and contractors.
- Market the firm’s services
- Assist with preparing proposals
Requirements:
- BS in Civil Engineering with concentration in Structural Engineering
- PE license in NJ, NY or PA or ability to obtain NY, NJ or PA PE within six months
- Fifteen to twenty years’ progressive experience in bridge/building design, evaluation and rehabilitation.
- Proficiency with MSWord and Excel
- Familiarity with Microstation or AutoCAD
- Familiarity with structural design and analysis software such as STAAD
