Job Description
Senior Environmental ProfessionalLocation: Knoxville, TennesseeRole Summary:We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Professional to join my client's team and lead complex environmental projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with clients and stakeholders. This role will be focused on the Phase 1 and Phase 2's due diligence stage of environmental projects.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, author, and oversee Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM standards and federal/state regulations.
- Evaluate environmental risk for real estate transactions, redevelopment initiatives, and infrastructure projects.
- Oversee subsurface investigations, including soil, groundwater, soil gas, and vapor intrusion assessments.
- Coordinate with drilling contractors, laboratories, and specialty subcontractors to ensure quality and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in environmental consulting or site assessment.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in other aspects of the environmental industry is a plus - ecology, hazardous materials, remediation, etc.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PE, PG, CHMM) are a plus but not required.
