A well- established firm, dedicated to improving infrastructure across New York, is looking to add Highway Engineers to join their growing Transportation team. This firm has earned a reputation for excellence in civil and transportation engineering & has successfully completed a wide range of high-profile projects, including the design & rehabilitation of major bridges and transportation systems.This firm is growing their Transportation team in New York & is looking for Highway Engineers with a range of experience levels. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to project development, & ensure that all engineering work meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to significant projects that have a lasting impact on the community.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and review of engineering plans and specifications for highway projects.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to support project compliance and quality.
- Support the management of highway construction projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
- Provide technical support and assistance to the project team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- EIT or PE
- 4-7 years of experience in highway engineering.
- Strong knowledge of highway design principles, practices, and standards.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
