Job Description
Triad Engineering, Inc. has an immediate need for a full-time Licensed Surveyor for our Morgantown, WV office.
Professional Surveyors License RequiredDUTIES
The Surveying Supervisor position reports directly to the Survey Practice Leader.
- Carry out assignments and verbal instructions from Survey Practice leader with little to no daily supervision
- Daily supervision of field crews, including Survey Crew Chief and Survey Technicians
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of field survey work
- Assist with client contact and client retention
- Business Development with new and existing clients including up-selling and cross-selling other Triad services
- Frequent and ongoing contact with contractors and professional office staff
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of survey vehicles and equipment
- Prepare field work budget
- Strive to make each project profitable
- Required to adhere to Company and other required safety practices
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary technical training in surveying, including two-year associate degree or technology degree is desirable
Experience
- Four to Six years of work experience with progressing responsibility and oversight for office activities including coordination, calculations, estimating, etc.
Certifications
- Professional Surveyors License Required
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, perform basic math, and be comfortable communicating with the public
- Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments
The employee may be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 80 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed in all weather conditions, and often involves extensive standing, walking and/or brush clearing.
