Job Description

Overview:Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) has an opening in our Geotechnical Department. UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating geotechnical subsurface explorations and investigations, clearing utilities with 811, preparing work assignments, staking boring locations
  • Setup and organize new proposal opportunities and new projects on Vision software and our server
  • Soil classifications and lab testing assignments
  • Drafting of soil profiles, boring location plans, maps, etc. on AutoCAD
  • Travel to various job sites in a company-provided vehicle
  • Monitor pile foundation installation and geotechnical field services
  • Install and maintain vibration monitoring equipment on various job sites
  • Perform pre-conditions surveys of structures
  • Communicate with various field personnel and colleagues

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working outdoors
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Must be at least 18 years old for entry onto job sites
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Adobe, Email, and communicate proficiently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Construction and/or engineering experience
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
