Engineer 1 Water/Wastewater (hybrid)

Indianapolis, Indiana & Columbus, Ohio ms consultants, inc. is actively seeking a recent graduate engineer for immediate employment in both our Columbus, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana offices. The successful candidate will support the Water practice area by serving on project teams planning and designing water and wastewater focused infrastructure for public works and privately owned projects.By joining ms, you will be part of a team that has provided complete drinking water, wastewater, and water resource engineering services to improve water quality in communities across the nation for more than four decades. What You'll Do:Working directly under our Water Technical Services Manager, you will work with many different ms team members within the company. You will complete design work for water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, distribution and collection systems, storm water and much more. We will count on you to do planning studies/reports, calculations, design work including using AutoCAD, construction administration, and do water system modeling. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and has a strong sense of professional accountability. Specific work will include:
- water and wastewater systems and treatment
- hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design
- stormwater management systems
What You'll Bring:We have a variety of projects coming through the door, so we are looking for someone with versatility and the ability to multi-task to manage multiple projects and priorities. If you are a creative problem solver, willing and able to communicate design ideas and learn office production workflow in a collaborative team environment, then this role is for you.
- Excel working individually and, in a team environment
- Have exceptional critical thinking, strong problem solving and decision making abilities
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Has knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience in planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant field with Engineer Intern license preferred.
