Job Description

  Geo-Logic Associates (GLA) is a privately-held, multidisciplinary, geologic, geotechnical, hydrogeologic, civil, and environmental consulting firm. Our highly experienced professionals manage projects through 27 US office locations and an office in Peru. The firm was established in 1991 and has experienced sustained growth since then. GLA is currently seeking an experienced full-time Senior Project Civil Engineer to support civil/site infrastructure, solid waste, mining, and environmental remediation projects. Projects focus on solid waste facilities and may also include general civil engineering design, stormwater hydrologic and hydraulic design, geotechnical design, and mining facilities. Projects typically also include significant regulatory compliance components.Office Location: Northern California – Petaluma, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Granite BayJob Reference: PET-SJ-GB-Sr.GE-3-11Closing Date: April 30, 2024Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field
  • California PE and GE licenses
  • At least 10 years of previous work experience in geotechnical engineering, including conducting slope stability analyses, evaluating liquefaction conditions, foundation engineering, developing and implementing geotechnical laboratory testing programs, developing site stability/mitigation design recommendations for a wide range of slope, soil, and seismic conditions.
  • Strong project management, client management, proposal writing, oral, and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Slope/W, CLARA, and other related slope stability modeling codes.
  • Advanced degree in geotechnical engineering
  • Experience working collaboratively with a project engineering geologist
  • Existing established client relationships a plus
  • Familiarity with federal, state and local environmental regulations for waste disposal and mining sites
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certified

Candidate Must:

  • Be eligible to work in the United States and possess a valid driver’s license
  • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
