Your tasksAs a (Senior) Consultant (m/f/d), your focus area will be providing diverse technical advisory services relating to onshore wind. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be working on onshore wind farms predominantly within Germany, taking on tasks such as:

  • Managing and supporting complex, multidisciplinary project teams and communicating with clients in onshore wind projects for:
    • Project development assignments
    • Technical due diligence assignments
    • Strategic advisory assignments
    • Preparation of energy yield assessments
    • Evaluation of wind measurement and operational data
  • Developing practical solutions to multifaceted problems
  • Support and preparation of offers with complex questions
  • Research and development of market-oriented issues

Your qualifications

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in consulting (preferred) or project management in a professional environment related to onshore wind energy;
  • University level degree or equivalent experience
  • Profound experience in the preparation of wind resource and energy yield assessments, including evaluation of losses and uncertainties
  • Extensive experience in the analysis of wind measurements, including lidar
  • Comprehensive knowledge of modelling of major turbine clusters and mesoscale modelling, yield and cost driven layout optimizations
  • Profound experience in the preparation of extreme wind and turbulence analyses and related IEC site classification  would be beneficial
  • Thorough knowledge of the standard software packages such as WindPro, WAsP, WAsP Engineering, Fuga, Windfarmer or OpenWind, whilst knowledge and experience of VBA and Python would be highly beneficial
  • Being fluent in German is essential, whilst good English language skills are also required
