Job Description

  Are you passionate about making a difference in the world of Environmental Health and Safety? We’re looking for a Hydrogeologist/Environment Remediation Specialist who’s ready to tackle challenges. In this role, you’ll be our go-to person for technical assistance, handling regulatory reviews and conducting field sampling. Your day-to-day will involve applying standard practices, correlating data, spotting any discrepancies and navigating complex processes.

What you’ll do
As our Hydrogeologist/Environment Remediation Specialist, you’ll be asked to take on key responsibilities. We'll also count on you to: 

  • Sample across various media. Whether solo with instructions or as part of a team, you’ll hunt environmental samples.
  • Conduct field inspections to uncover hazards. Your keen eye will identify risks and report unsafe conditions.
  • Forge strategies to battle pollution and hazards to safeguard our planet.
  • Dive deep into pollution sources, with research and analysis, to protect our environment.
  • Work with clients, gathering data to forge a path forward.
  • Identify challenges and devise effective solutions with precision and creativity.
  • Craft reports, and correspondences and fill out regulatory paperwork.
  • Harness multimedia resources for efficient research on technical topics.
  • Ensure projects align with their scope and budget, keeping the ship steady and on course.
  • Stay ahead of the curve with the latest in environmental permits and regulations, ensuring compliance and client confidentiality. 
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of sampling gear.
  • Conduct studies on soil, water and air, reporting on the world’s health.
  • Lead the charge in health and safety training, empowering clients with knowledge. 
  • Excel in spreadsheet development and air quality monitoring, capturing and recording data.
  • Guide remediation projects, from hazardous materials surveys to overseeing asbestos and lead projects.
  • Engage in annual training.
  • Excel in technical writing, crafting detailed reports and regulatory documentation. 
  • Identify hazardous materials and evaluate exposure risks. 

What it takes
Ideally, you’ll have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Biology, Ecology or Physical Science with an emphasis in environmental engineering or a related degree. We would like to talk with you if you have a minimum of one or more years of relevant experience or you are a recent graduate with internship experience. You will be required to complete your PDE/CEU en ensure renewal of Registered Professional Licensure status. Ideally, you’ll also:

  • Have excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Hold an eye for detail and dedication to accuracy. 
  • Be organized and can juggle multiple tasks.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software and tools. 
  • Travel to client sites and firm locations.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills.
