Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engaging with our design team to produce shop drawings for review by DOTs, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, architects or construction managers
  • Revising and resubmitting drawings based on responses to comments from the project review team
  • Printing (plotting) drawings for review, approval, and final stamping
  • Preparing conceptual elevation views, support schemes, geotechnical cross-sections (using data from geotechnical borings)
  • Preparing as-built drawings and final project closeout of drawing work
  • Performing preliminary CAD layouts to assist estimating team with takeoffs, quantities, preliminary drawing set-up, etc.
  • Updating and improving upon company standards and templates, as required
  • Preparing visual aids illustrating our ground improvement systems for potential clients to enhance proposals and quotes
  • Communicating with clients, engineers and architects, as required

  • Ability to work independently on projects
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize assignments while working on competing projects
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Civil3D or BIM software a plus

Education and Experience RequirementsAssociate’s or technical degree with Autocad being a major component. 3-5 years of experience using AutoCAD on a daily basis. Prior experience with civil, geotechnical construction and techniques a plus (i.e. drawings, specifications, building materials, surveying, design, or geotechnical work).-OR-Any equivalent combination of education and experience which meets the required knowledge, skills and abilities.Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking and sitting at desk.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
