Help us build the future and we’ll help you build a rewarding and purposeful career. Our global network is made up of architects, designers, planners, engineers, and environmental scientists all working towards the same goal. Join a team that brings inspirational architecture, landscapes, townscapes and places to our world, and we’ll provide you unlimited space to grow.Our Americas Engineering Design Organization is expanding and looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in the US Southeast.In this role, you will collaborate with our Engineering team on the design, evaluation and implementation of various projects, including water/wastewater, industrial, Federal and marine/coastal. The person can be based in one of our offices either in Orlando, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia or Washington DC.. In the problem solving business, it helps to be restlessly curious to deliver community change.Our vision is to ensure energy, water and urbanization are made sustainable for generations to come.   • Developing lasting client relationships based on trust and delivery
  • Delivering projects from proposal to design documentation and construction
  • Collaborating with other technical directors within the structures industrial team
  • Providing engineering and technical advice to both internal and external clients, including QA checking of structural designs and documentation
  • Liaising with all levels of the organization to ensure project landmarks are met and all design and documentation is complete
  • Mentoring and assisting other team members to facilitate a learning and collaborative environment
  • Contributing to major infrastructure projects both across America and overseas

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or ability to obtain PE licensure within 6 months of start date
  • 10 to 15 years of structural design experience in Federal infrastructure projects, water infrastructure and/or complex industrial projects
  • Federal experience is a must have
  • A thorough working understanding of structural design software such as SAP2000, RISE, SpaceGass, Robot, ETABS packages 
  • Sound knowledge of all applicable regulations, design codes and standards, including International Building Code, ACI, AISC and ASCE 
  • Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed (about 25% of the time)
