Our Americas Engineering Design Organization is expanding and looking for a Senior Structural Designer to join their team in Orlando, FL! In this role, you will support our Structural Engineering team with the design of various concrete and steel structures for major infrastructure, building and industrial projects.In the problem solving business, it helps to be restlessly curious to deliver community change. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Preparation and revision of technical drawings for municipal/industrial/environmental consulting services
- Comply with Corporate drafting and quality assurance standards
- Working with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
- Working closely with staff engineers and other designers
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff, and assist in developing knowledge across other disciplines, design teams and market sectors in GHD
What you will bring to the team:
- Associate’s degree in a Design/Drafting program is preferred
- 15+ years of structural design experience working in a buildings, infrastructure or industrial environment
- High level of attention to detail when modelling and a producing project documentation
- Knowledge of building and structures design is required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience working with 3D design software Revit and Navisworks
- Knowledge of coding using dynamo, python and other programming languages is highly desirable
- Experience and demonstrated understanding of United Facilities Criteria standards would be highly regarded
