We apply them on every kind of project, from flood risk management and water resource planning, to dam engineering, treatment works design and river engineering.Watch this short clip to discover how Arup are shaping a better world and how you could be a part of it!The Opportunity We have a fantastic opportunity for a hydraulic modeller ideally based in our Leeds office (Open to our offices across North West and Yorkshire).This is a key role within a growing team working on a range of infrastructure and catchment management projects across the UK and overseas. These projects all have climate change adaptation and resilience as a core aim.A sound understanding of hydraulic analysis and design techniques is an essential success factor for these proposals to be sustainable. Arup’s hydrology and hydraulic modelling teams provide this insight and play a key role in the development of sustainable solutions for a wide range of clients, from private developers to government agencies, local authorities and major infrastructure providers.Reporting to senior staff, we're looking for candidates who would be capable of scoping and undertaking technical hydraulic modelling on fluvial flood risk projects, and mentoring others in the development of these skills. We are looking for a creative individual, with strong technical/digital skills and a passion for developing sustainable solutions.  This role is an opportunity to build your hydraulic modelling skills within a multi disciplinary environment, supported by experienced staff within a friendly team.  At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive.
