Job Description

  Under supervision of Project Manager work on offshore marine investigations, including geotechnical, geophysical, and environmental, to ensure the field phase of the project is conducted in full compliance with the Company's Safety Management System and Quality Management System, as well the Company's Project Execution Plan. Assist the Project Manager with advance planning and the Project Execution Plan. Assist Project Manager with reviewing critical components of the contract. Be responsible for all communication between field and office. Ensure that all required field reports are submitted in a timely manner. Engage with the technical, marine, and data acquisition crew on various geotechnical tasks. Assure that no incident or near miss goes unreported, which includes assuring investigation, accurate determination of root causes, and consequent preventive and corrective actions are taken. Interpret andorganize projects of moderate complexity once specific guidelines have been given. Assist Project Manager with defining scope, selecting areas of investigation, and developing novel concepts for projects of unique character. Under oversight of Project Manager conceive plans and conduct research in areas of considerable complexity, prepare proposals for review by supervisor, and he will negotiate or adjust as needed to suit client requirements. Assist in the development of sales plans.
