Job Description
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Mostly outdoor year-round in varying weather conditions and temperatures
· Must be able to work long and/or extended hours to include weekends, as needed.
Must have a journeyman license in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, North Dakota, Idaho, Oregon or Wyoming. These states reciprocate with Maine. Schedule: 5 - 10 hour days and Saturdays optional. Average of 60 hours a week.
Ideally, you have your own basic electrical tools but tools will also be provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work on various stages of Solar Installation
o Terminate combiner boxes
o Panel/LV work
o Install metering equipment
o Layout, bend, thread and install conduit
o Layout and install switchgear, switchboards, and electrical devices
o Trench and install PVC raceway
o Pull and terminate direct bury wire
o Connect and support DC wire
o Install electrical enclosures
o Unload and stage material
o Perform electrical testing and commissioning
· Safely utilize hand and power tools after proper training (Drills, Crimpers, Cutters, etc.)
· Ability to safely operate light- and medium-duty construction equipment on a job site such as telehandler, forklift, and boom lift
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school or equivalent
· Driver’s License
· Familiar with low voltage wiring, fiber installation, with fiber terminations is a plus
· In depth knowledge of grounding and bonding
· Experience with troubleshooting electrical equipment, crimping data cables and using PPE properly around electrical equipment
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, blueprints and schematic drawings, and procedure manuals
· Dependability, strong work ethic, attendance, and punctuality
· Ability to work in a deadline and task-oriented work environment at a quick pace
