Lead the Growth of a High-Performing Engineering Office
Our client is a nationally respected, employee-owned consulting engineering firm with over 40 years of success, more than 425 professionals nationwide, and a reputation for delivering complex infrastructure and land development projects across the United States. With a strong backlog of work, an established presence in Florida, and a collaborative leadership team, they are now looking for an ambitious Land Development Project Manager to play a key role in growing their Fort Myers office.This is not just another project management position.This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys managing projects but also wants to be involved in business development, client engagement, office growth, and strategic leadership. Responsibilities
- Manage land development projects from conception through construction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and project stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with developers, private clients, and public agencies throughout Southwest Florida.
- Lead project teams including engineers, designers, surveyors, and subconsultants.
- Prepare and review project schedules, budgets, proposals, and contracts.
- Oversee design activities related to grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, roadway improvements, and site development.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Support business development initiatives, networking efforts, and client meetings.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities within the Florida market.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and contribute to the overall growth of the office.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 6+ years of experience in civil engineering and land development.
- Previous project management experience overseeing multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong understanding of Florida land development regulations and permitting processes.
- Experience working with developers, municipalities, and public agencies.
- Proven ability or desire to participate in business development and client relationship management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
