WSP’s Civil & Bridge Engineering team is seeking a Technical Director to join our established and highly experienced group delivering major infrastructure projects. Following recent successes, our team is expanding and offers outstanding career opportunities for ambitious professionals.As Technical Director, you will lead and manage a dedicated team to deliver complex, large-scale projects to the highest standards of quality, within agreed timelines, and with a focus on innovation and excellence.Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and manage the GCC CIVIL team to deliver framework/major projects to the highest quality standards.
- Set clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for all team members
- Develop and implement strategies that align with organizational and framework objectives.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for the UK CIVILS Team and other framework leads.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Facilitate cross-regional and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Change Leadership & Innovation
- Champion the adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance framework delivery.
- Lead change initiatives and foster a culture of innovation and adaptability.
Resource & Talent Management
- Oversees resource allocation, workload management, and succession planning.
- Identifies skill gaps and implement training, mentoring, and development programs.
- Promotes diversity, inclusion, and talent pipeline development.
Commercial & Risk Management
- Manages technical and commercial risks, ensuring compliance with governance protocols.
- Drives cost control, value engineering, and commercial awareness within the team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
Governance & Reporting
- Defines and enforce communication protocols and reporting standards.
- Ensures compliance with QA/BMS protocols and organisational policies.
- Delivers regular performance reviews and reports to the Head of Civils GCC.

Qualifications
- Years Of Experience 16-25 Year
- Master's in Structural Engineering preferable,
- Professional Qualification CEng MIStructE or MICE
- Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
