Job Description
- People focus: The role has a key responsibility for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of staff. The team leader is expected to demonstrate effective & visible leadership across projects, focusing on the ongoing engagement and retention of employees through the development of individuals and building high performing teams.
- Business, operational & commercial management – delivering on business plan & budgetary targets.
- Supervising ensuring the competence, quality and timely submission of detailed deliverables and coordinate inputs from other areas across the business both in India and the UK
- Supporting UK with bidding opportunities
- Attending prospect calls with the UK
- Attending discipline wise prospect calls with the UK regions
- Key point of contact with the UK business, direct liaison with UK BIM team, and promoting the GCC and ensuring its success.
- Divisional Resource Management – GCC utilisation
- Representing the UK BSV business within the wider Indian Business
- Developing interaction within the wider GCC CAD & BIM team
- Deliver capabilities presentation to the UK & the wider GCC
- Provide training to the BS team and wider GCC in BIM related (REVIT. BIM 360, ACC, Standardisation)
- Innovative process of BIM workflow
- Implementing the new technologies for improving business efficiency
- Involving audit process
- Providing lesson learnt session to the team
- Staff/Team Development – support, training, nurturing
- Perform cap skills validation of CAD & BIM team members
- Setting clear goals to the BIM / CAD team for both performance and development align with business requirements
- Retention and succession plan for the team
Responsibilities
- Managing small, medium and large-scale BIM Models for Mechanical, Electrical and PH services using Revit MEP by agreeing drawing strategy, type and size of drawings and drawing numbering with project engineer, and suggesting methods of drawing production to ensure efficient methods of working
- Assisting CAD/BIM leads in Estimation and Costing of CAD/BIM projects based on client's inputs.
- Assisting CAD/BIM Leads in agreeing project schedule and delivery programme.
- Setting up BIM models to the project standards and liaising with Model Managers from client side.
- Liaison with project team members internal and client side.
- Implement best practices on process Improvement works.
- Adopt new technology and implementing in the team and process.
- Up Skilling/Training the team members on new technologies.
- Project delivery responsibility on agreed schedules.
- Agree priorities and deadlines for drawing/model production with CAD/BIM Leads.
- Produce work to specified WSP in India CAD standards, suggest revisions to standards as appropriate
- Use templates for CAD/BIM work and use CAD/BIM library items to assist design work
- Provide advice and coaching to junior CAD/BIM staff on CAD functions when requested
- Follow QA, document control, archiving & CDM guidelines on all work
- Work with project team members on specified aspects of the project
- Ensuring all relevant standards and guides are used in accordance with WSP in India QA processes.
- Experience of working on projects at all stages of the project life cycle. Delivery of quality systems which ensure the quality and accuracy of deliverables such as models, reports and drawings
- Excellent communication, internal client handling, interpersonal skills and listening skills with the ability to influence and interact with people
- Comfortable leading internal team discussions and the experience and ability to understand, evaluate and explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical professionals
- Project set-up & ACC / BIM 360 workflow
- Hands on experience on Revit MEP software, NAVIS and AutoCAD.
- Experience of working on several sized projects, as the sole CAD/BIM support and as part of a wider CAD/BIM team
- Good working knowledge of Revit MEP with ability to use all standard functions within Revit MEP, Parametric Families creation and ability to coach junior staff in its use
- Knowledge on industry standards for Mechanical, Electrical and PH services
- Good understanding of the role of consultant engineers and how to support this

Qualifications
- The applicant should possess a diploma/degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
- 20+ year's production experience in design, drafting and engineering with significant experience in a similar role or demonstration of a good track record
- Professional qualifications: EngTech / Ieng / CEng.
- Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
