The Opportunity

The firm is seeking a Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join their team in a fully remote capacity, aligned to either the Chicago or Detroit market.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to:

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structural analysis and design for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use buildings
• Produce calculations, specifications, and construction documentation
• Collaborate with architectural and engineering teams across disciplines
• Contribute to project planning, coordination, and design development
• Support construction administration (RFIs, site visits, reviews)
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (IBC, AISC, ACI, etc.)
• Participate in value engineering and design optimisation
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience
• PE license or actively working towards it
• Experience with tools such as ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, SAFE, or similar
• Working knowledge of Revit/BIM workflows
• Strong understanding of US building codes and design standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
