- Develop project concepts and support design tasks on assigned projects under the supervision of a Project Engineer, Technical Lead and/or Project Manager.
- As part of the project engineering team, support alternative analyses and business case evaluations for making project decisions.
- Conduct analyses and designs for a variety of water/wastewater infrastructure projects, including conveyance, storage, stormwater management, treatment, and others.
- Coordinate with other design professionals and help resolve conflicts during the development and implementation of a project. Take initiative to identify appropriate corrective actions.
- Participate in field work, pilot studies, and other data analysis activities.
- Collaborate with other team members, technical leads, and project managers to complete complex projects with high quality.
- Be familiar with industry standards and manuals (i.e. ASTM, AWWA, etc.) as well as client and regulatory agency standards and requirements.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
- Has a developing understanding of relevant areas of water infrastructure design.
- Possesses excellent time management skills; takes ownership of task assignment and schedule, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources.
- Ability to effectively discuss project issues with the project team and support the development of project solutions. Asks questions and seeks answers.
- Proficiency in relevant discipline software programs and tools, such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and others.
- Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders, including working in remote/virtual settings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Enviornmental Engineering, or the relevant engineering field
- Ability to obtain EIT and PE
Pay Range:• Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas-$74,600.00 - $104,400.00 AnnuallyPay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
