Experience in solid waste, transfer station, compost facility, and processing facilities permitting, design and construction support projects is a plus. You’ll work with a multi-discipline design team to utilize your engineering knowledge and creativity to address multifaceted design and construction issues. You will support design, engineering, and project tasks, and collaborate with clients, engineers and design practitioners of varying experience levels. You may be called on to support other engineering disciplines including, but not limited to stormwater management, landfill gas management and air pollution control projects, and site civil planning and design on related projects. - Bachelor’s degree in civil design, environmental, or geotechnical engineering or related engineering degree.
- At least 15 years of experience including solid waste design projects (e.g. landfills, landfill gas systems, renewable natural gas systems, etc.).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Florida.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
- Sound knowledge of engineering design principles and understanding of construction methods.
- Experience with site civil design and 3-D modeling, including roadways, grading, drainage/stormwater, and related technologies.
- Experience with report writing and technical document preparation (engineering design documents and reports, drawings, specs, permit documents, and stormwater reports)
- Experience engaging with clients as either project manager or technical lead.
- Project management experience includes client engagement and use of project and account management tools and applications, such as pricing tools, project tracking tools, and customer account relationship tools.
- Client development experience including proposal and business development experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work efficiently in a remote environment, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients across the country
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Master’s degree in civil, environmental, or geotechnical engineering or a related engineering degree.
- Civil design skills (AutoCAD/Bentley, Revit, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to work as part of a team and coordinate with multiple design disciplines.
- Willingness to mentor more junior team members.
- Planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail of complex civil design components.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
