You’ll be able to apply our powerful global network of skills and decades of experience to create positive water outcomes that respect nature and nurture communities. Who are we looking for?    Our offices in Ontario are seeking an Intermediate Hydraulic Modeller to join the Integrated Water Management Business Group. This role offers the opportunity to work on high‑impact municipal, global and regional projects, collaborate with senior technical leaders, and contribute to the growth of our Water Infrastructure Planning and Advanced Hydraulic Practice.Our Hybrid Model: Be part of the dynamic culture! Join us in the office three days a week to contribute, connect, and excel in our vibrant environment.Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Improvement/Innovation:  Run, analyze, calibrate, and modify hydraulic models using InfoWater, WaterGEMS, InfoWorks ICM, HAMMER or similar software packages to develop solutions that meet design criteria.
  • Engineering Design: Assist in modelling and designing infrastructure such as watermains, sewers, forcemains, pumping stations, and treatment plants. Independently contribute to condition assessment and master planning projects.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Prepare modelling documentation, technical memoranda, and design reports.
  • Engineering Drawings: Contribute to proposal preparation, report writing, cost estimation, and drawing preparation.
  • Client & Customer Management (External) and Communication: Support senior staff with client relationships, serving as a key contact for hydraulic modelling projects. Collaborate with Service Line Leaders and Project Managers within and outside the region on work sharing and business development. Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on hydraulic modelling methods.
  • Field Work: Conduct tests and other field work under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of existing water infrastructure.

 What you bring to the team:

  • Degree in Civil or Water Resource Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in conducting water and wastewater modelling projects.
  • Proficiency with InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks WS, and WaterGEMS, and InfoWater. 
  • Experience with hydraulics of water and wastewater network systems is essential.
  • Proficiency with Hammer and/or InfoSurge is considered an asset.
  • Experience in pumping station design and condition assessment is considered an asset.
  • Experience with  using large model calibration, master planning for Cities and pump stations, and computational fluid dynamics is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience with local public and private clients is considered an asset. 
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to travel within Ontario and Canada as required.

Salary range: $70,035-$116,681The salary range is based on the preferred work location.
