Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of complex roadway projects, including highways, interchanges, and urban/rural designs, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Review and approve design drafts for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and policies throughout all design processes.
  • Engage with clients to assess current and future design needs, fostering strong relationships.
  • Coordinate technical content and oversee day-to-day project execution to maintain quality standards.
  • Prepare and review roadway design calculations, contract provisions, and cost estimates.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in Illinois required.
  • Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and familiarity with IDOT standards.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours based on project needs.
