Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of complex roadway projects, including highways, interchanges, and urban/rural designs, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
- Review and approve design drafts for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ensure adherence to company standards and policies throughout all design processes.
- Engage with clients to assess current and future design needs, fostering strong relationships.
- Coordinate technical content and oversee day-to-day project execution to maintain quality standards.
- Prepare and review roadway design calculations, contract provisions, and cost estimates.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Illinois required.
- Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and familiarity with IDOT standards.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours based on project needs.
