In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the sales and manufacturing teams, creating submittal drawings in AutoCAD and supporting shop drawings in SolidWorks. You’ll help design steel and aluminum security gates used across the country, playing a key role in maintaining our position as an industry leader in security solutions.

Your Role as a Mechanical Designer/Drafter:
As part of our design team, you will:
- Design and maintain layouts, cut sheets, and drawings for high-quality steel and aluminum gate products
- Convert product specifications, photos, and notes into detailed drawings for both sales and manufacturing teams
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the manufacturing process
- Turn sales orders into work orders using our ERP system
- Create nest layouts for plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting processes
- Suggest design improvements to simplify and optimize products
- Revise drawings based on Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) from the manufacturing team
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Drafting or Design (or equivalent work experience)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- A solid mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of design principles
- Experience with document management systems
- Manufacturing or fabrication experience (steel or aluminum) is a plus
