Job Description

  T&M is currently hiring for a Construction Inspector/Manager to join our rapidly growing Professional Construction Management Team that serves Central to North Jersey and Philadelphia and its suburbs for vertical construction projects in a variety of markets for public and private clients. This is a great opportunity for to join a team of highly skilled technical professionals and managers as we expand our project reach and team.  The Construction Inspector/Manager will report directly to our Project Managers and will have the ability to directly impact each project and its outcome.   The successful candidate’s location is flexible and can be discussed as part of the interview process.     This candidate will act as T&Ms onsite construction representative to inspect and manage on-site construction efforts for various projects throughout NJ and PA.  The successful candidate will be a trained and supported for continued growth in this field and duties will include the management of:

  • The Administrative Process: Including payment application review, request for information management, submittal log management, and change order review.
  • Documentation Process: Thorough documentation with daily inspection reports and associated photographs. Monthly project documentation and draft reports.
  • Budget: Monitoring the project schedule and budget adherence. Notify the Project Manager of any actual or potential deviations from either.
  • Cost Estimating:  Development and documentation for a variety of project cost estimates with support from senior level estimators.  
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to company safety standards and promote a culture of safety throughout the project. 

Requirements:

  • Degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture, or appropriate construction-related field.
  • 1-5 years experience in Owners Representative-focused Construction Management role is preferred.
  • Candidate must possess a valid driver's license and be able to meet these travel requirements: This position will involve regular travel to project sites, typically in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.  A company car may be made available and/or a personal vehicle must be used, with reimbursement at standard federal rates for mileage and tolls.
