Job Description

With 13 offices throughout the UK and employing 500 staff we have a great family friendly culture and are offering another great opportunity to work in the leading Mineral Processing Testing Facility in EuropeThe OpportunityTypical responsibilities include:

  • Preparing samples for testing
  • Following written procedures
  • Undertaking basic standardised tests unaided
  • Providing assistance to the Metallurgical staff
  • General laboratory duties
  • Maintaining, calibrating, and cleaning equipment as appropriate
  • Working in a safe manner, abiding by company SSOW and COSHH regulations at all times

The Laboratory operates on a rotating shift basis - Shifts are 06:30 – 14:30 and 11:30 – 19:30. The position is full time onsite.A successful candidate will require:

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role candidates must be 18 years or over.
  • Good team working and communication skills,
  • Practical approach to problem solving,
  • Ability to manage time to maximise productivity,
  • Safe and responsible working manner in laboratory areas,
  • Ability to work unsupervised,
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of recording information,
  • Awareness of commercial importance of products and ability to plan and prioritise work accordingly.
  • Qualified to a minimum of GCSE standard in English and Maths.
  • Experience of similar work is an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
