  About the PositionPond is currently seeking an Estimator to join the Industrial Group, located in our headquarters facility in Peachtree Corners, GA. We are looking for energetic, responsive individuals to complement our growth-oriented firm. Estimators are responsible for assisting in the preparation of bids and proposals under the supervision of a Senior Estimator or Preconstruction Manager.  The strongest candidates will bring 5 or more years of experience in an estimating role and will also show an enthusiastic willingness to learn other aspects of the pre-construction process to help bolster our team’s strengths and capabilities.About PondPond is an award-winning, full-service environmental, architecture, engineering, planning, and construction (AEPC) firm providing professional solutions to clients throughout the U.S. and globally for over 54 years. • Learn and utilize Pond’s estimating manuals, systems, and forms.
• Performs quantity take-off of necessary items.
• Reviews quantities of major scopes and purchase items with Sr. Estimator or Preconstruction Manager and assists with pricing.
• Bid document control.
• Performs bid day assignments.
• Visits job sites when required.
• Develops relationships with engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Completes assigned work on time and within budget.
• Works with minimal supervision; is self-motivated and has initiative.
• May be required to work outside of typical hours as project requirements and company needs dictate.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Assists the estimating team in the preparation of bids and proposals under the supervision of the Preconstruction Manager.
• Shows an enthusiastic willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience with a General Contractor with an understanding of MEP divisions
• Proven success in Commercial and/or Industrial projects
• Experience with industry software including but not limited to;
  • On-Screen Takeoff
  • BlueBeam Revu
  • ProEST
  • Timberline (Sage 300)
  • Sage Estimating
  • TradeTapp
  • Appruv
  • Building Connected
  • RS Means
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite

 Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Senior Estimator with a salary range of $99,400.00 - $157,600.00 .
