Job Description

  We are looking for a skilled Energy Sector Lead to join our Utilities & Renewables Division! If so, this is the perfect fit for you! Hybrid remote, preferably within a commutable distance to our Chicago/Lisle, IL, Columbus, OH or Boston, MA offices. Job Summary As part of the Division Management Team (DMT), the Sector Lead will develop and drive strategies that contribute to the top and bottom-line growth of their Sector. This position will lead the financial, business development, operations, and people leader components.  This role will need to effectively collaborate and partner with other leaders to drive organizational objectives and consistent practices.   Duties and Responsibilities • Responsible for managing a team within the Sector and adhering to Patrick’s Management Expectations for the full employee life cycle (i.e., selection, promotion, assessing employee performance, coaching, etc.) • Set the leadership culture within the Sector with a focus on team performance, continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, career development, and diversity and inclusion  • Sector business plan management (i.e., monthly reviews, quarterly refresh, etc.), which shall be coordinated with others within the DMT team and integrated with the rest of Division’s deliverables and activities• Develop and manage key teaming partners within Patrick and other firms to support the Sector’s strategic objectives• Partner with other leaders in driving organizational objectives and consistent practices  • Responsible for creation, implementation, and management of the Sector’s strategic business growth, financial, operations, and delivery plan that align with the overall goals of the Division and the Company • Participate with other Division leaders in the creation implementation and management of the overall Division plan • Lead the Sector with proposal strategies and costing, develop and deliver presentations, and broad oversight of program management, construction management, program controls, and other advisory services, as required• Participate with the Division Management Team (DMT) for division-wide management of initiatives• Other duties as assigned Professional Requirements  • Bachelor’s degree required (discipline in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, Project Management, or equivalent fields of study) • Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus• 10+ years of project/program management or management consulting• 6-10 years of leadership experience managing integrated projects and programs throughout the lifecycle from planning, project delivery, and operations• 5+ years of people/team management including talent development and succession planning• Demonstrated experience growing clients and delivering quality output in respective Sector market• Strong knowledge of Solar, Wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)• Strong knowledge of clients/markets relative to Sector• Deep industry network (clients, partners, etc.) Additional Requirements • Valid driver’s license required• 10-30% travel (i.e., client sites) may be required based upon business need  To continue the expansion Patrick has experienced over the past 40 years, and to capitalize on the recent acquisition made by global corporation RINA, Patrick is planning for significant growth in North and South America.
